NEW: My Jobs Table

We've done some more work on the My Jobs table to provide more flexibility and increase the features available on the Market Pricing page.

Here's a screen shot of the new My Jobs "standard" table

After clicking the "Use advanced table" check box you'll have access to more advanced features of the My Jobs table.

We think we've got the performance bugs worked out, but we recommend that you continue to use the "standard" table for the next week or two while we make sure that everything is working as expected in the live production environment.

Once we've fully tested the advanced table, we'll make another post to let you know that it's fully ready for daily use.

We wanted to get this table out there so we can put the final touches on the features and the performance improvements while making sure that you could switch to the standard table at any time.

NEW: Market Pricing page features

We've been spending a lot of time on reworking the Market Pricing page over the last few weeks. We released a new My Jobs table late last week, but we rolled that change back in order to fine-tune the performance of the tool. In the meantime, we've reworked the My Matches table slightly and we've added a new tool called "Match Explorer"

Here are some screenshots.

The My Jobs table has a slightly revised look on the buttons and table header to make it more consistent with the other pages. Also, notice the new Match Explorer tab.

The My Matches table has a new look as well. We've put all of the available buttons on the page. Also, the table will now expand to fit all of the data in the table. No more scrolling up and down through the list. The table is also configurable to different widths to fit the size of your table configuration.

The new Match Explorer will display all of the matches in the pay plan in at one time. Have you ever wanted to see all the matches and sort them by Job Group or pay grade? Well now you can! This will make it much faster to edit all the matches at one time.

Over the weekend we are going to re-release the new My Jobs table with needed performance enhancements. We hope that the new features are helpful in your work.

UPDATE: My jobs table

Due to some feedback from some of our larger clients we've rolled back the change to the My Jobs table for the time being. We are working to resolve the performance issue when there are more than 500 jobs in the pay plan. The table seems to function well with data sets smaller than 500 jobs, but the performance is severely impacted when there or 1,000 or more jobs.

We are working to resolve the issue this week.

UPDATE TO POSTING: As a part of this switch we reset everyone to showing only 10 rows in the My Jobs table at a time. You can change this by clicking on the My Settings button from the Start Page. There is a field on the My Settings form to control how many rows are shown in the table.

Workspan article features Nintendo of America and Nuvosoft

The latest issue of Workspan published by WorldatWork has a great article on Nintendo of America's implementation of Nuvosoft's manager self service application. Jill Vaslow, Senior HR Manager at Nintendo and France Lampron, President and founder of Nuvosoft co-authored the article. Congratulations to both of them for being published in Workspan. If you have a minute, check out the videos of people experiencing Nintendo's new Wii remote. It looks like a total blast to play!

UPDATE: My Jobs table

We'll be doing a bit more work on the My Jobs table this week. We will be adding a "paging" feature so that accounts with a large amount of job data (more than 500 jobs) will see a performance increase when loading the My Jobs table. We noticed a performance hit on some large accounts after updating the table last night. The paging feature will limit the amount of data sent to the browser. The pager will let you select a letter between A and Z and will pull up job that starts with that letter. You will also be able to select a different field, such as Job Group and view all Job Groups that start with A for instance. We'll keep you posted.

NEW: My Jobs Table

There is a brand new My Jobs table on NextComp as of 10 minutes ago.
I'm planning to create a Quicktime demo in the morning when I'm more awake. But I wanted to let you know it's out there and it's a significant step up in functionality.

Now it's time to get some sleep and try to resist grabbing any more candy from my kids Halloween stash!
